Website of the Redeemer Lutheran Nature Gardens, Austin, Texas.
In 2002, Redeemer Church and School began constructing a series of playground natural areas and gardens to bring ‘a bit of nature’ to 500 students and our congregation of 2,500. With the help of scores of volunteers and the Eagle Scouts of Troop 413, half an acre of standard landscaping has been transformed into vegetable and herb gardens, a butterfly garden, wildflower wetland and nature areas on the three school playgrounds.
